Business Development Manager At Pt Bamboo Pure

PT Bamboo Pure is a team of bamboo professionals who have built over one hundred bamboo buildings both in Indonesia and Internationally in collaboration with the IBUKU design firm. Bamboo Pure is a pioneer of bamboo construction; its projects include the world-famous Green School in Bali, as well as the Riverbend at Bambu Indah, Sharma Springs at Green Village, Onu Onu Beach Bar Fairmount at Sirru Fen Fushi, Maldives, TRi Restaurant in Hongkong, Sokasi Cooking School at Four Seasons Sayan-Bali, the Bamboo Pavilion at Dubai Expo 2021 ICD, and most recent award-winning Arc at Green School.

Job Description & Key Task

  • Generating and following up on project leads.
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Turning leads into clients: successfully closing deals with clients.
  • Proactively manage the sales pipeline and achieve company objectives.
  • Manage communication with project leads follow up, and devise strategies to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Coordinate site visits, client meetings, accommodation options, and follow-up meetings both at office and external locations (including developing relationships with client Personal Assistants and key members of their teams).
  • Obtaining and sharing all relevant client and project information (Project Brief, Fee Proposal, Client Communications) to the company team in order to successfully commence the construction process.
  • Close cooperation, good communication, and alignment with the other key members of the company management team (Head of Construction, Costing, and Accounting) on construction timeline, bill of quantity, and commercial agreements.
  • Provide guidance to clients about project construction and design process.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients to assure their understanding of the project development and especially bamboo-related construction specifics.
  • Draft NDA's, Consultancy Agreements, Formal Fee Proposals and be responsible for the execution of documents in a timely manner as well as guiding clients successfully through the process.
  • Work with legal advisors and in-house management team to develop contracts.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of sales experience, preferably international
  • Expert communicator with attention to detail and a passion for working with a team
    Capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time
    constraints
  • Takes initiative and works well independently
  • Must speak and write fluent English and Bahasa Indonesia (preferred)
  • Social media and basic marketing experience is an advantage

The Position

You will work directly with world-renowned innovators in bamboo property development and design. The project is a new and innovative concept with a focus on the core value of sustainable, green development. At the heart of this project is the burning desire to create an extraordinary experience that firmly connects the guest to the Balinese community and nature.

Job Description & Key Task

  • Work directly with creative and inspired project owner to implement vision on-the-ground.
  • Manage and supervise project implementation according to cost control, quality, and fast execution.
  • Follow a very accelerated development schedule.
  • Control material usage based on specific material usage plan.
  • Coordinate and supervise all external field teams, such as contractors, subcontractors, site construction managers, and suppliers — monitor project labor to verify that the project is properly staffed for schedule and budget requirements.
  • Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes, SOPs, and project work instructions.
  • Manage and develop project related documents such as monthly reports, budgets, schedules, presentations, minutes, tracking logs, etc. using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (electronic and hard
    copies).
  • Manage and prepare ongoing project reporting on a regular basis.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project files; electronic and hard copies.
  • Manage or prepare requested or ongoing project reporting on a regular basis.
  • Predict, identify and solve any problems arising in the project. Provide input to resolve or mitigate project issues.
  • Guide project ownership through the project process and lead meetings as directed.
  • Act as a management representative in the project: Assist in negotiation process; from contracts to change orders.
  • Lead coordination meetings with internal teams and create a conducive working atmosphere.
  • Perform all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements.

Additional Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelors’ degree qualified in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent highly preferred.
  • Approx. 5+ year’s experience working on construction projects including a minimum of 3 year’s experience managing construction teams.
  • Proficient in English both oral and written.
  • Familiarity with Bahasa Indonesia a plus, but must learn on-the-job if not.
  • Thrives in a very fast-paced and sometimes chaotic environment.
  • Willing to support at as needed without regard to time (even after office hours and on weekends and holidays).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage various tasks, schedules and deliverables for multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven administrative and reporting skills: able to generate concise and accurate spreadsheets, narrative reports and correspondence.
  • Good analytical and project management skills.
  • Advanced technical abilities in construction management, with the ability to train and mentor others to develop further their skills in development project management, contractor management, safety, quality management, and site-based design management.
  • Able to work independently.

The Position

You will work directly with Project Manager and Project Team in bamboo property development and design. The project is anew and innovative concept with a focus on the core value of sustainable, green development. At the heart of this project is the burning desire to create an extraordinary experience that firmly connects the guest to the Balinese community and nature.

Job Description & Key Task

  • Assists the Project Manager with daily administrative duties;
  • Documenting all pre-project documents, such as: SPK (Work Order) document, Offer Letter, Time Schedule, PR, etc.;
  • Updating project documentation during implementation;
  • Together with the team, prepare all documents for the BAST process (Minutes of Handover) and Retention Claims;
  • Create a Resume File for the entire Project document starting from the Pre Project period to the Project Retention period;
  • Identify materials and equipment to be used infield implementation;
  • Draft Weekly Progress Project;
  • Recap and save project administration documents, maintain the confidentiality of project documents;
  • Assist Project Manager in creating and recapitulating daily, weekly, and monthly reports;
  • Finding and evaluating prices to vendors/suppliers for project needs;
  • Coordination with internal parties regarding project administration matters.

Additional Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent highly preferred.
  • Approx. 3-5 years of Construction/ Developer Project Admin experience or related field.
  • Proficient in English both oral and written.
  • Willing to support at as needed without regard to time (even after office hours and on weekends and holidays).
  • Computer literacy and Proficiency in Windows, including MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint. Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Initiative, Proactive and Driven – ability to make things happen; decisive and determined to follow through with change initiatives; hands-on; results-oriented; energetic.
